Dr. Libby Fedorko is from Trumbull, Connecticut and grew up riding and competing on the hunter/jumper circuit along the East Coast. Dr. Fedorko attended the University of Connecticut and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science. During her undergraduate studies, Dr. Fedorko competed on the UCONN Equestrian Team and was voted captain her senior year.Dr. Fedorko graduated from University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. During veterinary school, she continued to ride and compete with her horse, Katie, in local shows. While at the University, Dr. Fedorko created the Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging Club, and in her graduating year received The American College of Veterinary Radiology Award. Dr. Fedorko also advanced her interest in equine sports medicine and the Lameness Locator, a device created at the University of Missouri to aid in the diagnosis of equine lameness, which she is certified to operate.
After veterinary school, Dr. Fedorko completed an internship with Grand Prix Equine in Bridgewater, CT where she integrated the use of the Lameness Locator into their performance horse management and daily lameness evaluations. Dr. Fedorko continued to advance her knowledge of internal medicine, sports medicine, radiology, and dentistry while at Grand Prix Equine.Dr. Fedorko joined the Dunbarton Equine in June of 2016. Her veterinary interests include radiology, sports medicine, and dentistry. Dr. Fedorko spends most of her free time riding her horse Katie, but also enjoys the beach, wake boarding, snowboarding, hiking, and kayaking.
Dr. Fedorko is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Connecticut Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, and the Northeast Association of Equine Practitioners.
